It wouldn't take my mouse drivers for the longest time... Kept telling me that the ones for my old Microsoft-compatible mouse(which was a peice of crap) were good to use with my Logitech Trackman Marble (Trackball). If I get an $80 or so (I think it was probably overpriced) mouse(trackball) for my birthday, I expect to be able to use it. Though, being a birthday present is also the only reason I got Win98... I wouldn't buy it otherwise...
One of the reasons why Microsoft mice are better then Logitech ones is the fact that Microsoft Mouse drivers *work*. Compaired to the logitech drivers, Intellipoint 2.2 is the best piece of software ever written.
You can't really blame Windows for Logitech's bad software, I've never had a problem with an Intellimouse on any computer I've ever used... and thats a *lot* of computers.

No, you don't want to do that. DriveSpace is a disk compression tool. That would be the absolute *worst* thing he could do right now, as its quite likely to destroy a drive if its already corrupted.
