because of seemingly never ending demand, we now have Previous and Next buttons in messages.Author: Tridus ()

Right now its a bit quirky, because I'm getting it worked out still, however it works like this:
Inside a thread, next moves down the threadlist for that particular thread, previous moves up it. The order is *exactly* as you would see when you read a message and see the little thread display at the bottom of it. It will go in precisely that order. Because where to go is generated at the time of loading the message and not when the link is built, if someone posts a message and you hit next, if that message is rightfully the next one in order, it will come up. (this works like the War Refuge used to).
If you are at the bottom of a thread and hit next, it goes up a thread on the threadlist (so to the next thread) and starts at message 1 of that thread.
If you are at the top of a thread and hit previous, it goes down a thread and starts at message 1 of that thread. I plan on changing this to make it go to the bottom of the thread instead if I can figure out how to do that, unless people like it this way. (you could hit previous repeatidly to just cycle through top level posts without going through replies).
(and yes, this feature was impossible with this script, until the rather huge code change to the threadlist. After that, this was actually a fairly trivial matter, becuse the indexing needed to do it is already in place on the threadlist)

-Neat-o! All we need now is actual BUTTONS, as in GRAPHICS, for the links. :) - SM_007 - 2000-04-25 00:00:00
--yeah, that'd be nice. Not entirely sure where to get them from though, thats Edge's department. - Tridus - 2000-04-25 00:00:00
