The biggest problem with this one is database performance...

the code that generates that list is actually the result of a join between two tables, and having it called by the threadlist (which is the busiest page) would result in an increadibly large amount of database usage, which slows everything down.

I'll see if I can come up with something though.

--I disagree. Then people wouldn't know what it meant. - SoulTaker - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
---It is by default, turned off. You would have to turn it on, then you should know what it is. - -=General=- - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
----Oh, sorry. I thought you talked about the message view, not the threadlist... - SoulTaker - 2000-04-11 00:00:00

--It sounds kewl. That way we can keep track if one of us is online or not. - Anonymous - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
--Nah. Maybe at the bottom, though it is easily accessible right now... - SM_007 - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
---You have to take two clicks to get there every time you want to see it. - -=General=- - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
----That's okay with me =) - SoulTaker - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
-----Well, for lazy people, that is too many clicks. - -=General=- - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
------So what about having it at the bottom of the forum? Any thoughts? - SM_007 - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
-------What about an option top / bottom / turned off....? - -=General=- - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
--I don't want to be negative, but wouldn't that take up too much space? - SoulTaker - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
---Not really, it would be a table, so maybe about 10 lines... - -=General=- - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
----Hmm... I'm still not convinced, but maybe it's just me. Let's wait for other responses. - SoulTaker - 2000-04-11 00:00:00
