Ok, here's what happened with the April Fools Day Joke gone awry...

I set the joke up using the IIS web based admin console, worked fine. The file was actually uploaded to www.techmgmtresources.com yesterday, to make it easier when the time came around.

So, I set the joke up when I got up this morning, and it worked flawlessly. Nobody noticed the <!-- happy april fools day! --> message commented into the source of the page, which was supposed to be the biggest clue it was a prank.

kwerkey finally figured it out after me laughing my head off for a few hours, and I went to turn it back to normal. I used the web based admin console to do that.

And all hell broke loose.

Finally, after trying everything else and meeting with either no forum or one that would only support 1 simultaneous connection to anything (aka non usable), I had to login with vnc and totally recreate the thing. I don't know if you know what vnc is, but its a remote control thing, I was controlling the server's keyboard/mouse from my house. And over a dialup line, its *extremely* slow.

So once I actually figured out what was going on, it still took like an hour to fix it.

Just goes to show ya, don't use the web based interface for anything important. :)
