I don't like it. It depends far too much on Gnome...do you have any idea how hard it is to get a small install of it?
I would heartily recommend that you get a burn of Corel Linux. It installs really well (except for that part where it picks the best settings for your monitor automatically...do you have any idea what a 1024x768 screen looks like on an 800x600 TFT display? Thing vertical throbbing lines.), and is the easiest thing I've ever used since Windows (and Windows is only easy because I've been using it for years). And on that crappy old 486 of yours, put a copy of Slackware on it.
I'm done preaching now :). By the way, if you keep having trouble, I can probably work my way around getting you a CD of RedHat 6.0.
