but why?

first off, my reply to you prevoiusly was serious, except for the second, third, and fourth laziness answers.

Sure that might work, but *why*? What is the point of that? I thought the whole idea of the election was to have some fun with propaganda wars and elect someone on the basis of how well they can write propaganda, not on how much "The Committee®" likes them.

I mean really, this person does *not* become an admin. They don't tell me how to code the script, they don't tell Edge how to do the site layout, they don't do much of anything in a serious capacity at all except get to be a moderator and have a cool tag.

So why in the world do you people want to make the process of having a fun propaganda war so darn complicated?

go back to the first election, remember how it started? The anons... Sid, Debt, and myself were waging a propaganda war over anonymous posting rights, which was totally silly and had no point at all. It evolved from that.

I'd hate to see the whole thing loose that heritage and become some serious formal affair for reasons that I still can't quite understand. If I'm missing something here, please enlighten me as to just *why* you feel this extra complexity and fun sucking stuff is really necessary. Because I just don't get it.
