So if you aren't a cracker, and don't qualify as a hacker, what are you? A whacker? Or maybe just wacko? Some people have suggested vandal, which is fine since they're all dead and won't write any e-mail complaints to the CBC.

In this case tables are good because they are easy to use and everything lines up. There are no good standard HTML ways of doing this, and I have a feeling a Style Sheet solution would be have a real "cheap hack" feel. I've only used them on occasion to make a whole site look the same, which they do a really good job of (like here, for instance).

I agree with you that most of the time a table should not be used for page layout. But, IMHO, Data Entry (like the config page) is one area where it should be.
