Can you write Perl/CGI scripts in Windows 2000?

'Cuz I wrote a very simple Perl program:

print "Hello, world!\n";

I uploaded it to my site's main directory, and than CHMOD'ed it to 755 and opened in my browser, got an Internal Server Error, than I uploaded it to my CGI-BIN directory (Didn't think it'd help considering it's Perl) and CHMOD'ed it to 755 got the same thing. I wrote it in Notepad in Win2K, so I was wondering if it's possible to write Perl/CGI scripts in Win2K, and if so why didn't this work?

Excuse me ... are you aware you are wearing my pantz?
